Hollaback!

A campaign concept inspired by and named after the movement to end street harassment called Hollaback!

With Katarina Batina and Daphne Hsu

To highlight the problem, we created visual representations of cat calls for the street interventions leading up to the exhibition front and for the promotional posters on bus stops (often a problem area for street harassment).

The exhibition front

The main exhibition educates visitors on street harassment by debunking myths and breaking down ways to fight street harassment.

Visitors are encouraged to interact with the exhibit by marking on a map where they have street harassment in Seattle, as well as take away the stickers to activate the movement into the public space.

At the end of the exhibition, visitors are asked to sign a petition to support a publicly-funded phone app that allows citizens to document, map, and share incidents of street harassments.
